Our second house, a large Modernist family home in Bath featured on the Grand Designs programme on 20th February. Eco-home for TV Actress
Kacey Ainsworth TV actress Kacey Ainsworth and her partner Darren Hales are to build a Baufritz house on their plot in Hertfordshire this month. The couple came to Baufritz a year ago to ask us if we could build an energy efficient home with a rather unusual design – in the shape of an orange segment!

Art event raises over £1,200
Ann Pollard, Artist Baufritz jointly hosted an art exhibition with breathegroup in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.  Artists from Cambridge and Germany came together to exibit thier works at the event which was attended by more than 100.   Click here for the full story

Trouble Ahead - The Code for Sustainable Homes
Mark Brinkley, Author of the Housebuilder’s Bible and regular contributor to Homebuilding & Renovating magazine examines what the Code for Sustainable Homes means for selfbuilders.  He says: "The Code suggests that all new homes being built in 2016 should be zero carbon homes.  Whilst you would imagine that this would be music to the ears of progressive housebuilders, the Code actually presents a number of intractable problems to small developers and selfbuilders."  more...
   
A tree is not just for Christmas...

Bath House makes Excellent Progress
Baufritz is now well underway with its second build project in Bath.  Despite it being the wettest summer on record, the weather stayed dry for a whole week in August enabling our German construction team to complete the water tight shell of the building ahead of schedule.  more...
