Baufritz to make TV debut on Grand Designs
Our second house, a large modernist, art deco inspired family home, has just been completed in Bath. The good news is there’s no need to travel all the way to Bath to get an insider's view of this ambitious project as it will be shown on the current series of Grand Designs on Channel 4 at 9.00pm on Wednesday 20th February 2008. Eco-home for TV Actress
TV actress Kacey Ainsworth and her partner Darren Hales are to build a Baufritz house on their plot in Hertfordshire this month. The couple came to Baufritz a year ago to ask us if we could build an energy efficient home with a rather unusual design – in the shape of an orange segment!
Known for her roles as Little Mo in EastEnders and Inspector Jenny Black in HolbyBlue, Kacey wanted to build an eco-friendly home with architectural flair. Click here for the full story.

It’s going to be a very busy year for Baufritz in 2008. We have new houses being built around the country and we are even building a bistro for a celebrity chef! There’s lots going on and plenty of opportunities for you to get involved and gain inspiration for your own selfbuild project.

Competition Winners
We had an overwhelming response to the two competitions we ran just before Christmas and we would like to thank everyone who entered. Our first competition involved filling in a questionnaire about additional services that you would like to see Baufritz provide and thanks to your efforts we raised £116 for the Woodland Trust - so well done! Carol Henderson from Devon won tfhe organic food hamper – congratulations Carol. Our Christmas Quiz was one by Gay Henrick from Buckinghamshire. Gay has won a free planning day with one of our experienced architects who will sketch out a design of her ideal Baufritz home.
