Baufritz understands the importance of a beautiful garden setting. We make sure that our homes are carefully positioned in order to make maximum use of light and views and a stunning landscape garden is the final element that makes your home complete.
That’s why Baufritz has teamed up with UKTV presenter and sustainable landscaper, Hannah Genders to create gardens for Baufritz home owners that reflect the same values upon which the Baufritz philosophy is founded; beauty, sustainability and ecology.
Hannah’s unique approach ensures that the design and implementation is highly sustainable, incorporating elements such as rainwater harvesting, recycled materials, and wood from local, well managed woodlands. Not only do Hannah’s gardens create a wonderful backdrop for Baufritz homes but they also fit comfortably in the local environment.
Hannah says:
“There are lots of ways to make a garden sustainable and enhance the home at the same time. For example, replanting heritage varieties of fruit is a great way of celebrating local diversity and by using native plants and flowers you can help to encourage wildlife.”
Organic living is a key part of the landscapes Hannah creates and many clients ask her to design and build attractive potagers to grow their own organic fruit and vegetables.
Hannah created a superb backdrop for our Carbon Positive House at Grand Designs Live in London, selecting organically grown varieties in dark purples and acid yellows that contrasted magnificently with the grey exterior of the building.
